Against Verno Phillips just makes me sad. Ouma was a beast back then, but after the Karmazin fight it was all down hill from there.

He's looking so slick and hungry, never a big puncher but just a determined and hungry fighter.

Look at the guys he's beaten and look where they are now. Phillips, who Ouma beat twice, is champion now. Alex Bunema, who Ouma beat, is now a top ten fighter after KOing Karmazin. Sechew Powell, who Ouma beat the last time he won was recently a number one rated guy before losing. Toygonbaev is also a top 12-15 guy right now.

Ouma should be ruling the division right now. This should be his time.

i got verno up 2-1 thus far....winning the first 2, but Ouma turned it up in round 3 and he's winning this round thus far as well.....

That was the thing about Ouma, he wasn't a big puncher but he hurt you because of how he mixed up his arsenal so well. His style was to throw upstairs and then when you're least expecting it, he will hit you with a left hand straight to the body. Thats how he dropped Phillips the first time they fought.
