Nate Campbell and Joel Casamayor Picked The Wrong Fights

If anything Campbell/ Casamayor and Marquez/Guzman are better matchups and more pick'em fights. Why Campbell chooses to fight Guzman is beyone me, I guess he thinks he is too big for Guzman, but weight dont win fights. And how nobody says anything about Guzman getting a title shot his first fight in a new weight class is beyone me, he isnt Pacquaio. Why would Casamayor choose to fight a better boxer, I dont understand either, they are close in skill but Marquez may be a little fresher and not as long in the tooth as Casamayor.

I honestly think Guzman got some kind of deal from Warren back when the Arthur fight was supposed to happen. Something like "we call off this fight, you vacate your belt and go to 135 and I'll make sure of it the WBO ranks you the #1 challenger." Think about it, Arthur becomes champion without even stepping into the ring and Guzman gets a title shot w/o even fighting at 135. Shady business!!

Casamayor took the highest paying fight. So he thinks it's the right fight for him

I'm not mad about Guzman vs Nate but I would have perfer Marquez because if Joan beat Marquez easily that would call on Pacman FAST, Don't you think?

its simple gbp wants jmm/casamayor to set up jmm/pac 3 and guzman/campbell to take away the belts from king.

Who Cares? 37 year old Granpa Nate and Casa spank the 24 year old Juan Diaz and 26 year old Katsidis.. You'll never know what happens.

You never know. Casamayor took the Marquez fight because it's the best payday, but he also does have some size advantages, and despite being past his best, he's still dangerous, particularly in the early going. Marquez is a better boxer than him, prime or not, imo, but he is still fairly hittable, and Casamayor has quick hands and some pop. We also don't know for sure if Marquez left anything in the ring against Pacquiao, though that fight wasn't really a war, by my definition. However, despite all this, I imagine Marquez will win, he's fought the best southpaw around, so he should be ok against Casa's left, and after the early going, Casa slows and Marquez probably outworks him to a decision win.

Campbell/Guzman, again, size may play a factor. Campbell is faster than Soto imo and Guzman doesn't have much power, so if Campbell shows up in condition like the Diaz fight ready to throw and throw, he could pull it off. I think Guzman will win as well though, outboxing Campbell, but neither of these fights are gimmes.

I think JMM can easily beat Casamayor! But not Joan against Campbell! Nate is one of the most underrated fighters! He was not even given a chance against Diaz before! Nobody can be more motivated than Nate when everybody thinks against him! Nate has always the ability to adapt! His only problem is when he feels too confident like what he did in his fight against Peden.
