Right I understand all of this but I'd like to point out that Manny Steward the entire time (besides the last round) kept telling Cintron to go forward and fight Margarito, rather than staying on the outside and using his height/reach. When Cintron did stay on the outside he looked good and landed ones and two's at will. Then he'd go forward and get his ass beat. I wouldn't place the blame solely on Cintron for the last loss against Tony. Manny ****ed up and was giving him horrible advice IMO. That may have been part of the problem. Not saying Cintron would have won either but I am saying they had a horrible game plan going into the fight.

Also, I hear you about him being a late starter, but it's not entirely unheard of for someone to be successful starting at late age. I think he has the skills and tools to be good, but I question some of the training and advice he's received.

Manny Stuwart went public before the fight and basicly said, "I told Kermit he was not ready for Tony, but he wanted to avenge his loss so badly that he took the fight." Kermit was partially successful keeping a distance, but you could tell he was not mentally ready to "outboxed" Tony. Mexicans tend to have an advantage when it comes to breathing when they train in high altitudes in Mexico. They train were the oxigen is less available, thus when it comes to fight night, their stamina is better. I believe Tony trains in LA and Kermit did his training on Germany, so it may not mean jack ****. Manny probably knew a KO punch was his best chance and told him to go foward and get it. Then again, Kermit did not had the boxing skills to put his part on the game plan. In the other hand, I think Cotto will play the game well and win. Oh well, what the ****, Kermit did connected some good hard shots. Tony did not even blink. **** it, it was a bad move by Kermit, period. Tony is so ****ing lucky Kermit gave him a chance he did not deserved. Whatever... he should had fought Clottey... you know the rest of the story.

To me Cintron doesn't seem like a serious, focused fighter, he just doesn't want it enough. I don't remember much from the fight, but what I do remember is that he didn't listen to Manny. Hes a stubborn unfocused fighter who could have gone much further had he just concentrated more and worked harder.

another route for cintron is to go to europe or australia.
augustus burton did that and won the wbo belt last friday in fighting out of australia.
