Will Chavez Jr ever win a word title?

i mean andre berto is the wbc champ without stepping up his competition his biggest win is against david estrada
aj banal is about to win the wba title against a guy with a (no kidding) 10-2-1 record
and oscar larios is rated number 40 in his division yet he is the wbc champ

imo i think chavez jr could very easily win a world title if arum does one of this things:
    1. make sergio mora move up to fight kelly pavlik and make julio fight a comfortable opponent for the vacant wbc title
    2. make alcine unify against another champion and have julio fight some bum for the regular wba belt
3 or be more risky and fight verno philipps for the ibf strap
of course all fights would be on chavez jr hometown

so what do u think will chavez jr ever win a world title?

I dont think Mora really ever wanted to fight Pavlik, I think he was throwing the name out there as a way to quiet his rematch clause with Forrest and hoped it would go away, he knows Vernon wasnt the Vernon we are accustomed to for that fight.

Chavez JR. will maybe become a paper champion at best! Maybe when all of the talent dries up as it did in the heavyweight division. Anyone can become a champion under such pitiful conditions. Other than that he's a bum .

This is a tough question. I don't think JCC Jr is championship quality, but I'm sure Top Rank will try hard to find an easy spot for him to get a title.

it depends on who he fights for the world championship but I would assume that he would be smart about it and fight a weak belt holder and win it. I don't see him becoming a lineal 154 champ though.

sure why not? if A. J. Banal is gonna be practically given a bogus title for fighting such an inferior opponent, there's no reason chavez jr. won't win a title some day!

i said yes only because he is being matched so freaking carefully, that they will find a weak titlist for chavez to squeak by, or have him fight for a vacated belt ala berto.

Eventually, Arum will cash out and have him fight someone legit like a Ricky Hatton for a huuuge payday and he will be brutally exposed for the limited fighter that he is.

We won't know until he steps up, which looks like it won't be for awhile.

If they wait too long, that kid will be a middleweight at least. He is already struggling to make 154.

It wasn't too long ago that Chavez Jr was being discussed for a Malignaggi fight at 140. My worry is that Chavez Jr will get stale from fighting guys who can't fight.
