Hatton plays down retirement hint, britishboxing news

Ricky Hatton has played down reports in the press that he only has 2 more fights left in him.

we shall see, i notice that he says he feels he is performing better and better, ive been an avid Hatton fan for most of his career and attended 95% of his fights since 2002 and consider myself to hold a fairly decent judgement of a boxer. Its my opinion that Hatton has not performed well since Tszyu, apart from maybe the war with Collazo and to be honest i really think that the only fights he will have now will be Paulie and Pacman if they both win their next fights. There is always the possibility that he will be tempted by big money paydays but have the boxing fraternity noticed that he has gone back to speaking about himself in the 3rd person??
That was how he always spoke until he beat Tszyu and since Floyd beat him its back to 3rd person, that betrays a lack of confidence to me (just my opinion)
Personally I hope he takes the Pacman fight and retires win or lose as i would hate one of my fave fighters to become a faded representation of what they used to be.

He gets hurt in every fight.

              Properly hurt.

He should retire soon, Pacman and out, Malignaggi is a good one too since he is not a dangerous opponent. He's made his dough. He is a good fighter slightly below the elite.

Hatton should look for what fights are potentially out there for him. Add them all up and there will be the figure of how many fights he has left!

He wants Pac, maybe Cotto, DLH and Paul Magnili is his next fight. So he probably wont have much more than 4 fights anyway.
As long as Hatton thinks he can improve on his ability and performances he should carry on. If he fills he is going backwards then maybe retire.
                Hatton will know.

Hatton will NEVER fight Cotto, Cotto is too weight drained @ 140 and too big for Hatton @ 147, same goes for Oscar, unless its Hattons Final fight and he only wants the money then Oscar is way too big for him to handle.
