A healthy Vitali would KO Gomez in 1 round.

Gomez is a master boxer and capable of beating ANYONE on his day. Also, he isn't small, being about 6'3" or 4". However, he should have been heavyweight champ years ago, but has consistently frittered away his caree with a succession of dubious actions, like poorly matched fights, long layoffs, living the "high life", and poor training habits. Not to mention his very bad habit, born of arrogance, I believe, which causes him to lean back against the ropes and take more punishment than he should.

Even assuming that he comes into the ring fit, and keen to win, and also assuming that V.K is also fit, (HIS keenness to win isn't questioned) I can't see Gomez beating him. VK is too clever, and full of ring smarts. Also he's the most accurate puncher in ANY division.

Not to mention (which I am) that VK's only 2 losses were because of injury, in fights which he was wining very well, and in fact, could have continued,, since the fifirst, against Chris Byrd, only required him to stay standing for 2-3 rounds (even if he lost them) for him to take the win, and the second against Lennox Lewis was stopped because of a bad eye (actually an eyebrow) which had been under control for 2 rounds and hadn't even bled during that time. Also Lewis was shot, finished, and barely made it to his stool, the luckiest guy that whole year.

SOoooooo I see a fit VK beat Gomez up.
