Disappointing Prospects

Even tough he is still young i still think "Baby face garcia" is dissapointing so far even though he ko'd a bum with 1 punch thrown in the whole 13 seconds

Everyone seems to like Gamboa but for some reason I just don't care about him what so ever. The way he boxed against Darling Jimenez was unimpressive.

Amir Khan may dissapoint us, gotta work on his defence

Odlanier Solis was a great ameature, hasnt lost in pro yet but his weight is an issue, keeps putting on more and more weight before fights.

that liverpool flyweight guy that got his knocked out on the amir khan - kristijanson undercard, forgot his name. he was dissapointing.

here are my top disappointing prospects:

calvin brock - he just fell off the map.

allan green - still young but his inactivity is disappointing

francisco bojado - tons of skills, zero heart
mike arnaoutis - should have gotten decision against torres. kendall holt tore him apart.

rey bautista - one of the most overrated prospects i've seen and it showed

jason litzau - highly overrated but his chin betrayed him

eduardo escobedo - tons of skills but looks like he was scared of de leon

jose navarro - may win a title yet but how many more chances is he gonna get?

rodel mayol - early in his career was compared to finito lopez. tons of power, little skills, no chin.

julio cesar garcia - still young but his inactivity is puzzling.

jimrex jaca - wasn't never really highly rated but did give fans some good fight. but has fallen on hard times lately.

randy suico - highly hyped ko artist has flunked all his biggest tests so far.

How have you come to that conclusion?

The problem is... everyone thinks they are a ****ing prospect now, and almost everyone with ANY skill takes the prospect's blueprint of fight taking...

So that means that we have a million prospects, and not all of them are going to deliver.

I also think that people are too quick to call people prospects and too quick to take them out of that arena and call them something more.

Someone like Joan Guzman and Juan Manuel Lopez are still in the prospective level IMO, because they have belts, but haven't had a fight against the real elite of the sport yet.

The real prospects that I can think of off the top of my head to actually be excited about are:

Gamboa
Linares
Guzman
Lopez

Probably missing some, but... You get my drift.

I think we can remove Linares, Lopez, and Guzman from the prospect list.....
