Do you guys follow OLD boxing?

I'm talking like 100 years ago old. The Jack Johnsons and Sam Langfords of the world. What about the 20s with Dempsey or the great 30s. I love studying old tapes of fighters and breaking down footwork compared to now and **** like that. I know I am a little overboard about boxing but I love all eras and try to watch as much as possible.

It has to be a very special fighter, like a Jack Johnson, for me to tune into fights that are 100 years old. I have a DVD with some great fights of the 20s and 30s with Benny Leonard and Jackie Berg. I can't get enough of that stuff.

No. The quality of the film footage is mostly terrible, and sometimes not even at the right speed. It's interesting to see, but comparisons to the fighters of today are pointless IMO.

You are right that most of the footage is not the the greatest but it still interests me. As for comparing its just something I like to do. IMO Jack Johnson could of beat Louis and Louis would beat Ali. No one ever talks about Johnson being the greatest heavyweight. JJ is debatable but Joe Louis would for sure beat Ali. Louis was the hardest puncher and nearly as fast as Ali.
