gotta be honest, my vote would go to georges st.pierre. not only cuz I've met him and he is from the same city as me, I think he has accomplished more than the other fighters on that list in the past year.

now, before the flaming begins, I would just like to say I love boxing alot more than I love mma.

st pierre got beat on by serra and hughs and he should of lost his fight with b.j and if koscheck would of stood up with st pierre he would of put the beats on him

lol. reading that tells me that you either have never watched mma or your gf cheated on you with st.pierre.

other than silva, he is the best overrall talent in MMA. he could out strike and out grapple every fighter in that division. the fact that you think koscheck could out strike st.pierre is utterly laughable. koscheck's specialty is the ground game and st.pierre dominated him in that. hughes and serra are st.pierre's only losses and he dominated and beat both of them in rematches. st.pierre is the #1 welter and he beat the current #2, #3 and #4 fighters in his division in the past year and he is scheduled to fight #5 ranked fitch in august. that is why I give him the vote.
