Hagler-Hearns just had so much greater stakes because they were both pound for pound ranked 1 and 2. Holt-Torres was a Shobox card.

I think that evens out with all the knockdowns and the brutal finishing KO.

While the stakes were greater, the production by both Torres and Holt was legendary as well. From the opening bell it was ON! Seeing Kendall go down some 10 seconds in, I mean, you seen the fight as well. I just immediately felt it was the greatest first round I've ever seen from beginning to complete heartstopping end. The way Torres just hung there, and hung there in the same dead looking position was simply incredible. To know that he was possibly one more knockdown away from winning it all makes it even better. Its easily an all time great to me.

Wow, this is a total no contest for me. Two guys at the top of the sport going at it for 3 solid minutes shot after shot. I don't think the Holt-Torres round is even a quarter as great as Hagler-Hearns.

Crazier outcome was Torres/Holt but better overall action packed round was Hagler/Hearns.
