I think we're taking this whole race thing a little too far lately. It's a shame Floyd had to bring this up after he retired. It was a real ***** move, because now that he's not in the game anymore he can just spew this bull**** and dip back outta the scene while crap like this festers over. The bottom line is this: Race relations in the U.S. aren't perfect, they never were, and they probably never will be, but Floyd is attacking HBO when the fact of the matter is HBO has had Roy Jones, George Foreman, Manny Steward, Lennox Lewis, and many others working directly along side it's white commentators. Race relations in the U.S.are A MILLION miles ahead of where they were 50 years ago, let alone 200 years ago. Floyd is a man who has gotten rich and has taken money outta the pockets of just as many whites as he has blacks, so lets not get it twisted, Floyd don't really care about any color but green, to believe otherwise is straight foolish. And maybe the white commentators do pull for Pavlik a little when they see him fight. If you were a white American, and you'd seen boxing overtaken by everyone else but white americans, wouldn't Pavlik excite you a little? Same goes for Manny Pac, why wouldn't a Filipino announcer pull for Pacquiao when he is one of them, a guy who is fighting with an entire nation on his back. Not that Pavlik is part of some race war proxy or any of that bull****, but he adds a face to boxing that white america doesn't really get to see that often anymore. I'm not sure why white people should be so ashamed of themselves if they root for him. Are blacks or latinos ashamed of themselves for rooting for Cotto or Mayweather? I would hope not. So let's cut the bull****. Every race will pull for their own sometimes, because those respective fighters represent something larger. It's no crime to admit this. I still like Cotto, Taylor, Mosley, Manny, etc. But Pavlik is someone I can't help but root for, he's a humble guy who is a hard worker, is entertaining and happens to be white, which is the same color as me. Sue me if I wanna root for him before I pull for some arrogant prick like Floyd Mayweather.

there is also alot of people posting racist comments o n the board,
people have been discussing it for weeks before floyd opened his mouth, -
The Floyd comment really was the straw that broke the camel's back though. The shame is, like I said, he makes a comment and dips behind the curtain again. ***** move. If he really feels there is a problem, have a dialogue about it like a man, and discuss how we can make things better. If there's obvious racial bias, then what are the solutions? I'll tell you what aren't the solutions: Calling everyone on the P4P list a bum and talking about seeing Jim Lampley in a skin bar. How are you doing anything there to change a situation for the better? Stop being a whiny little ***** and address the problem like a man.Comment

Thing is though, he's not serious about it. Hes just keeping his name in the news. Hes an attention whore to the max. The sad thing is, he is in a high profile position even as a c list celeb. As a celeb he gives good Black people a bad name with his childish rants and antics.Comment
