David Haye To Confront Wladimir Klitschko in Germany

Does anyone know who Haye's first opponent at HW will be?

Former undisputed cruiserweight champ David Haye is up to his old tricks and plans to confront IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on July 12 in Germany when the Ukranian fighter defends the belts against mandatory challenger Tony Thompson. Haye is training to begin his heavyweight campaign this October and he's been doing everything possible to get a crack at Klitschko. Several months ago, Haye used the same tactic and confronted Klitschko during a charity event in London. [details]

ok. there is nothing wrong with haye doing all this for the sake of publicity but he needs to atleast fight a couple of hw's before he gets to harassing wlad. and than he says that wlad is scared of him. what is he suppose to do, avoid chagaev, valuev, povetkin who are more deserving, and fight haye? I'm embarrassed to have him as one of my favorite fighters.

I think Haye would lose to a second tier HW like Eddie Chambers, someone that can match him for speed and has much better defense. In fact I would bet money on it.

chambers could match him for speed? have you ever seen either fighter in the ring?

It's easy to say you can beat everyone, and pretend you have the right to bypass them.

Ibragimov and Chambers would be ideal opponents, but he'll likely choose a shot, old fighter like Toney or Maskaev.

Eddie Chambers would school Haye before knocking him out. I can't imagine Haye breaking through Chambers tight defense, before fatigue sets in.

Eddie has more power than most people think, as we saw in his fight with Butler, and I believe he would KO the weak-chinned fudge-packer.

I'm not gonna dispute that chambers could ko haye but the fact that you say he is gonna school him? do you think the hw division has more skill than the cruiserweight divison or something?

I can't tell you what haye is gonna accomplish in the hw division right now, but one thing I do know before ever seeing him even in the ring against a hw, he is MUCH faster (punches and defensive head movements)than any heavyweight right now. thats undisputable. haye will be doing the schooling, the only thing he needs to watch out for is getting hit with a flush shot.
