There are two rematches where I thought that the winner picked was very suspect. These 2 fights changed my views on why I think these 2 guys are vulnerable in their styles. When I recently saw Barrera-Pac II, I thought Barrera did very well. Pac could not hit him, and you saw Pac very frustrated. The fight was closer than the scores. Barrera really countered Pac beautifully. Pac's face was lumped a bit, and Barrera was only cut.
I just saw the Clottey-Margs again. This was right around the time Margs had all that time off, so he hadn't fought in 10 months. Clottey really beat Margs up. Bloodied his ear, swelled his face. The ridiculous score of 118-109 should've had that judge banned from boxing lol. Margs really just landed body shots on clottey. He won on hustle, and if you want to be honest, he won only because clottey hurt his hand. Clottey put up a heck of a fight, and watching it againlooking at my scorecard.... if he lost, he only lost by a point. This fight could've easily been swayed by the judges, but since it was margs and cotto on the same card, clottey would've had to do something spectacular to win, or dominated most of the rounds.
Pac looks like he can be countered and hurt if he fights the right guy. Pac can change up his style so he will be the more difficult to beat out of these 2 guys I brought up. I don't know if Valero is the man to do it. I'll be rooting for him to catch Pac with those heavy hands.
Margs I think can be hurt to the body. I think cotto has a great chance to break Margs down. Margs is going to need his A game to win. Clottey hurt margs to the body on a couple of occassions. Margs later defended the body well, but what will he do to a committed body puncher. Of course that could play into margs hands if cotto gets close, but If i had to pick a more vulnerable fighter, Margs is more vulnerable to lose in their next fight. I picked Valero and Margs to win, but the cotto-margs fight is a fight i don't really care who wins. I want Valero to beat Pac, so Pac can either have my full respect with a win or great fight , or have my general boxers respect.
