Does anyone think Mayweather's comments are going to have reprecussions with HBO? I'm sure a major television channel doesn't appreciate being called racist and having their credibility called into question. I know its not quite a spot on comparison but when Willie Randolph made comprable(although much less harsh) comments about SNY(his baseball team's station) he was forced to publicly apologize. Granted in baseball everyone on the field has a boss and that's not the case with Mayweather but.. the HBO suits must be grumbling or considering some sort of media response. His comments could easily spin out of control like B-hops "whiteboy" comments. Everyone always gets a little more sensitive when race is involved. Anyone think Hbo will respond? Anyone think they'll just ignore it?

Calzaghe doesnt sell ****.
Pacman doesnt sell either. -
I don't agree with the last 3 statements but the first I kind of do. Nothing is going to happen. Floyd can get away with nearly anything. If floyd said he was coming back to fight on HBO they would slob his knob.Comment

HBO must be aware that Floyd has at most one to two fights.. and its hard to imagine him taking 2 more fights right now. I think HBO would be more worried about the credibility of their Boxing Coverage then one single payday. Singularly Floyd may be worth more than or as much as Oscar or Hatton but at the end of the day he can only get them paid one more time. That's just not worth much to them.Comment

If Floyd was like Im fighting Mayorga next.......
HBO would have his date ready in a matter of hours.Comment

Does anyone know if Mayweather has any current contracts with them? IF May wasn't completely making these statements for publicity and actually cares deeply about his cries of racism then he should not be fighting on HBO again.Comment

I agree. And this basically puts paid to his absurd notion that he is being discriminated against on the basis of his race.
This is the reason the HBO commentators dislike him:
"HBO hate me, they hate me, they'll always unfair to me... Hey, Leonard, go count my PPV money!"Comment
