Akinwande came down with Hepatitis B, the same sexually transmitted illness that Chagaev had last year. He had to take a year off, when he was near his peak.

It brought him down from being one of the top five heavyweights, since then he's been a fringe contender.

        from fight news.com. Sorry dude.

co-feature, WBC International Herbie Hide (44-4, 41 KOs) outpointed Nuri Seferi (21-6, 15 KOs) over twelve. Hide, a former WBO heavyweight champion before moving to cruiserweight, was knocked down early in round one, but the "Dancing Destroyer" recovered and outboxed Seferi over the rest of the way. Scores were 117-112 119-110, 117-111.

Seferi knocked him down in the first, but Hide won a wide decision. The scores were ridiculous, especially the 119-110 score. The ref appeared to be helping Hide as much as possible.

Ohner is as crooked as Don King, but not nearly as smart - he makes it too obvious.

Hide will probably be getting an undeserved shot at the WBO cruiser title sometime soon. I hope they put him in with Johnathon Banks.

The Hide fight is on now. Sam and Vidoz fought to a draw, but I thought Vidoz deserved the decision.
thx for update, fightews and boxrec only show the Sam/Vidoz, and Hide/Serferi results. I thought this was a fight that Ondrej could win, how did he look against the much bigger man?

Pala was very aggressive, backing Akinwande up during the entire fight. Once Akinwande felt Pala's power in the first round, he fought very cautiously.

Pala should have gone a bit more to the body, I thought, since he was closely missing the much taller Akinwande's head with some of the punches. But he landed enough good shots to clearly win the decision.

Is this the Klitschko who is a rather slow starter? against one of the most awkward HW's in recent years. HA would last the full 12 against Wlad, he'd be outclassed though on the cards.
