This could turn out bad for JC, because it wouldnt look too good for JC if he dont knock RJJ out. Glencoffe and Tarver managed it!
So anything less than JC knocking RJJ spark out would be bad.
But to be fair RJJ is arguably better now than when he fought Glen and Tarver. Those were too soon after coming back from heavyweight. So hes had time to adjust to the lighter weights.

This was written before Jones beat Tito and worked himself into the top ten at LHW. Jones is a good fight NOW for Calzaghe.

A win over Tito solidifies Jones as a top light heavyweight? This fight is just for money and a name to add on to his resume. As of now it is a meaningless fight 20 years from now it will look slightly better, unless Pavlik continues his reign undefeated and unifies the middleweight belts. If that happens it will look like Calzaghe ducked him.

Trinidad is not a light heavy he is a midget, so why is roy rated top 10 in lhw? And didn't roy easily lose the first 3-4 rounds of that fight without no questions?

Get over it guys, Pavliks tailor made for Joe like Kessler, but easier. Roy even past his best, has some wins since Joe made that statement and will trouble him more than Kelly. End of.

If Pavlik unifies the MW belts, it proves he's a great MW, but what the f*** does that have to do with Calzaghe???

Calzaghe proved he was the king at SMW, and then defeated the ring#1 at LHW. Fighting a legend from his own era, who looks a lot better than he did a while ago, makes perfect sense.
Calzaghe doesn't need Pavlik to go prove he's the champ of tomorrow, when he is the champ of his own decade

Pavlik was also taylor made for Taylor as well but once again the underdog prevails.

I never said he had to fight Pavlik to prove his legacy but if he would of fought him now and won, then later Pavlik accomplished a decent amount in his career it would of inhanced his legacy.Calzaghe has stated in the past he would come down in weight to fight Pavlik so if he retires without doing so and Pavlik makes a decent career for himself it will seem to some that he ducked him.
