tried new form of training today.....

sparred 5 guys at once ( they wont let me in the ring with a single opponent anymore, the gym doesnt want to be sued for damages again), we were all wearing 16 oz gloves and headgear, and we were in a huge ass competition ring, they were all instructed to just lay into me and take my head off, i was basically playing the seek and destroy game.

anyway it only lasted one and a half minutes not even a full round, one guy was unconscious for like 15 minutes afterwards and was taken to hospital, two guys had broken noses and the other two ran out of the ring in terror after 15 seconds.

so im looking to fight next weekend, im 4-0 with 4 KOs all in the first round, im 5''8 16 years old and i fight at 165.

my last fight was just a breeze, i just hit him with a measuring jab and he folded up and was out for 5 minutes, i need to step it up a bit so my next fight is against a guy who is 20-1

    ill keep y'all updated

In this training did you start out at 1 corner while the 5 were in the other? Or were u surrounded and basically being mugged and forced to maneuver??

It is an actual tried and true form of training. I'm not a boxer but it's a form of training that's always been used in several martial arts. I just dont see any benefit coming from it if it was like a standard boxing match where everyone starts out from opposite corners. It's meant to raise awareness and quickness.

And you think he is being serious.

            Seriously, wake up.

It also mentions they were all wearing 16oz gloves but makes no mention of how big or small the 5 he sparred with were. They coulda all been half his size...hence the knockout and broken noses. Hell he coulda sparred 5 midgets. You still get training benefit out of it at their expense

No trainer would put a decent guy against really small guys, or midgets lmao and let him bash them up.

Let's be logical here now please.

And don't just come back and say, oh my tainer always puts 5 of the really small people in the ring so the top guy can send them to hospital.

Smashing people up is not sparring, you dont learn anything.

Hell Ali was known for never knocking a sparring partner down, he just got battered himself lmao

Well i never said the guy wasnt bull****ting. I'm simply saying it could be done with great benefit. It would raise awareness of where you are in the ring as opposed to your opponent...increases quickness...and creates a byproduct of toughness
