He will retire undefeated whether he fights Jones alone or Jones then Pavlik. I think he could probably go on longer than that but it wouldn't be a good ideas to do so. Everyone gets old in the end and Joe is risking this happening even fighting Roy, let alone Pavlik and others too.
Will Calzaghe Retire Undefeated?

Only if he takes the safe route out, which would make me anti Calzaghe. He needs to fight more top young guns instead of past it legends with nothing more left than a name. Jones is not a threat to him. But would Kelly Pavlik be? A young power puncher with excellent skills that is in his prime and whom is on the pound for pound list and who has a shot at beating him? I'd say yes.

He won't comeback. He lacks fighting spirit. The only reason he does this is to somehow be remembered as a fighter but something tells me that won't go accordingly to plan. I don't think he's any good, i mean, B Hopp almost won the fiht at 43, how good can you be if you almost lose to this old guy and get floored in the process? I wonder what people say about Mayweather for instance if he'd been KD by Baldomir, who wasn't nearly as old and had not lost in 10 years!?! I can't say anything good about Calzaghe cept he has a good win vs Kessler and Lacy. He's 36 and i can name two sort of good wins against untested opponents..Comment

I'm hoping he retires undefeated.
But I've learned to never underestimate Roy Jones Jr, the most talented fighter of the past 20 years. There is no guarantee Joe will win - he looked slower than usual in the Hopkins fight, let's not forget Joe is age 36.
If he gets past Jones and wins decisively, he'll likely fight again. If he loses or wins a close decision, he'll likely retire.Comment
