ANOTHER GLOVE STORY

The highly anticipated lightweight matchup between Juan Diaz and Michael Katsidis that is scheduled to take place on September the 6th in Houston, Texas is once again in jeopardy.

According to various sources, there seems to be an issue with Katsidis wearing his preferred Cleto-Reyes gloves, while the management of Juan Diaz, led by Willie Savannah, is insisting that both boxers wear Everlast mitts. While Katsidis has signed his contract - that states he is allowed to wear Cleto-Reyes - Diaz has not thus far.

Savannah reportedly has a problem with gloves that are filled with horse-hair that he believes cut his fighter more easily than those that are filled with foam padding. From what I'm told, the Katsidis camp believes that they have made every concession in finally making this fight a reality - including going into 'the Baby Bull's' hometown - but will not budge on this issue.

So while there may be horses for courses, I guess there will be no horse-hair in Diaz-Katsidis.

(I know, that's awful, but I just couldn't resist.)

But let's hope this works itself out, it's too good of a fight not to take place (for the third time.)

Each fighters should wear the gloves they prefer.

Diaz shown that he has a good chin but we have to see how he can handle Katsidis punches. Will Kat still fight the same or train diffirently for Diaz.

Hahaa- Just read that article at MaxBoxing. Diaz is afraid of cuts now since Campbell whooped that ass and doesn't want Katsidis to cut him up too.... I mean- the fights in Diaz's freakin home town, what more does he want? They should both wear whatever they want and let the best man win.
