Can you find a quote from ANYONE saying which displays the sentiment you created above? Nobody even remotely thinks that Oscar will be a challenge. If anything it's a launch pad for Cotto to super stardom. Outside of that beating up old ass Oscar don't mean ****. I bet anything you can't find a quote from a credible poster who thinks Cotto could lose to Oscar. Floyd is held to the standard he is held to because of the **** he talked and the hype machine that his fans made around him. The way you guys talk about him you'd think he could fight a cerebrus, God, a worlds strongest man competitor named Magnus and Shaquille O'neal with one hand behind his back while sitting on a stool. Cotto's "hype" is very real and very much so deserved. He's never claimed to be the G.O.A.T or said he could dismantle Fighter A in less than five rounds and not lived up to it. Mayweather wrote ALOT of checks with his mouth and bounced all of them.

Yes I do. I try my best to NOT discredit a fighter, but the motive of alot of the arguments I engage in are those WITH posters concerning a fighter. Like a guy talks all this and that about Mayweather fighting a guy, but the same guy will defend Cotto for fighting a lesser opponent as well....the posters is who I try to DISCREDIT... Did you NOT read this...

Cotto has made VAST improvements since then. I think he is a very tough and strong fighter. The thing that I see in Miguel is that his defense is just good enough...and when he loads us to throw big shots, he gets tagged. I think if he tightens his defense ALL of the way up, these guys out now ain't seeing him (I feel the same about Manny). He just has to continue to stay hungry.

Another thing that I have noticed is that he says that he doesn't need Mayweather....I agree to a certain extent. However, every fighter on the BRINK OF GREATNESS needs a GREAT opponent to face. I personally don't think that he will rest until he gets his shot at Mayweather, rather he says in publicly or not

we will see how it goes.....I like Pac though...dude can throw um...I just hope that he tightens his defense up more. He has been hurt alot and hit with big shots that could be avoided. He already SEEMS unbeatable right now, but with a TIGHT DEFENSE ain't NOBODY in boxing right now seeing him...IMO.

or

"Oscar will be the toughest test Cotto has ever had to face"

I think Cotto stops him on a body shot.

Cotto works him over and makes Oscar feel his age. It's just a question of how many rounds it goes. In the last five years DLH has gone from a top level fighter to boxing's biggest myth.

A few heads in there said Oscar can beat Cotto but Margarito is much more of a danger to Cotto than Oscar is. We're talking light years difference here by the way. Cotto would do to Oscar what Hopkins did in probably identical fashion...
