Anyone ever fracture thier wrist? A must read...

I fractured my left ulnar styloid process last weekend and wonder if thier is anyone else to has? I was wondering how long til they were back punching and how long until the pain went away etc...

I know this is in the wrong forum but this gets so much more exposure than the training and nutrition forum. Please keep it here for a bit guys...

Thank you for any advice, I need it right now.

I've done it plenty of times. Not due to boxing though. My mother caught me doing it one time when Red Shoe Diaries was on channel 5.

Breaking the ulna styloid process is fairly common, especially in wrist fractures.

Repairing this fracture involves minor surgery where, in most cases, the styloid process is reattached using a Kischner wire. Go see a bone Dr.

Hope this can be of help to you.

danny, i had surgery for my broken ulna 5 weeks ago. my bone broke about 4 inches down from the wrist. i have a plate, and 7 screws, and a cast for xtra protection. my doc says for my injury it will be 12 weeks before the bone is healed, and 4-6 wks of pt after that. my injury is maybe a bit worse than what you have. i have had many other fractures and 6-8 weeks is the norm before starting light activity. either way i would say 2 to 4 months (depending on how bad the break is)and you will be good. hope this helps bro, and good luck-dan(aka melly mel)

Bandage it well so you get zero movement, the human box repairs fractures itself, just takes time.
