The thing with Gbp is that they have a delahoya mentality. What i mean by that is gbp has signed on good boxers. So they as delahoya once did, they feed them against other good boxers and expect them to win.

If you're a boxer starting out gbp doesn't have the experince to make a world class boxer. But if if your a top boxer already and you sign with gbp you better understand that with signing to gbp you will now have to fight the best in boxing and soon. I should say, that they are doing a good job with Mares but i think that credit goes to Nacho rather then golden boy as i think Nacho also matches Mares with his oppoent.

Yeah I kind of agree with this, Arum takes care of his fighters and moves them up in class perfectly most of the time.

Goldenboy on the other hand, I think they're just hell bent on signing big names. They have absolutley no clue what to do with those names, or how to prepare those names for their fights. They throw their fighters in too soon and they let their fighters go into a fight ill-prepared. You can tell they're new to this ****.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ortiz get's put in over his head sometime soon. I mean havin Victor workin his way through Clottey all the way up to Esalas was brilliant match making for him. Good test after good test. And that's all Top Rank, they chose those fights for Ortiz. Goldenboy on the other hand, they got ****in boneheads workin for them, lol they'll probably press the gas on Ortiz now that they got him. And if they don't do that, they'll probably put him in with too soft of opposition that will leave him ill-prepared. Cause Ortiz could use a lil more to his arsenal instead of just havin that straight left.

But yeah, Goldenboy is new to this, you can tell. They're match making is flat out garbage. I mean Ouma vs Taylor, they let Escobedo loose when Vicente had no defense, Bojado made his comeback all fat an ****, he was gettin hit in his first 2 fights back and they put him in with Forbes, they snatch Juan Diaz from Don King and the first fighter they put him in against is a Don King fighter. Don yellin his ass off at Nate to whoop Diaz's ass when yesterday Diaz was gettin all kinds of love from Don, Diaz got his whole world rocked that night.

So yeah, I don't think Goldenboy is gonna be good for Ortiz. If I was him I wouldn't trust them with my career. Not right now anyways cause Goldenboy is just interested acquiring the big names, not developing them.

I agree, GBP got a real ignorant perspective towards match making.

As for Mares, I actually think Ignacio is one dimensional as a trainer. Every fighter he has, he's trys to turn into the Marquez brothers. Now both Juan and Raf have/had that power where they can sit back and throw 1 shot and end the fight, but alot of his other fighters dont.

Like Mares should be lettin his hands go alot more then he is, cause he's not gonna floor anyone by waitin for those single big shots. He needs to put a jab in a guys face and then drop that right on them. And he's got a mean left hook, he needs to let that **** go.
