Vitali was never even knocked down in a fight...

Lewis was not only knocked down, he was actually COUNTED OUT TWICE.

To be honest, although Sanders lost to Vit, he did knock him down in the first, and admitted it was a huge mistake to trade with him because he said he had never been hit that hard..

Vit's got a good chin but head to head against Lewis, they both stood toe to toe.
Vit just had some weak skin.

Vitali wasn't knocked down by Sanders, although he was backed up and staggered in the first round.

Lewis appeared to be more affected by the power of Vitali's punches, he was staggered several times. Vitali was never backed up or staggered in that fight.

If Vitali hadn't been cut, Lewis would have been KOed.

You know that's an if. Watch the first round of Vit-Sanders. I thought it was a knockdown from a punch, not a slip.

At any rate, Lewis hit harder than Vit. Even Manny Steward who trained them both said that, so you never know what woulda happened.

              weak skin? lol

i think i'd have a weak skin too against that lewis right hand.

if lewis landed that overhand on me i'd lose all the skin on my face and also on my back from skidding on it...... :-)

Well Lewis faced far better competition, but Vitali did take some good bombs from Lewis, who hit pretty damn hard and from Sanders, who despite what most people think, hit pretty hard as well.

I think if Wlad had his brother's chin and killer instinct, he'd be pretty hard to beat.

not sure because aside lewis himself who has vitali been hit by that would equal or surpass the top guys lewis fought? it's easy to say vitali never went down, and lewis did, but the fighters each man fought need to be compared as well to garner an accurate as possible assumption.

Lewis hit harder than Vitali, but Vit had the better chin, and in the shape Lennox came into that fight, definitely Vit had the better endurance as well. He might not have stopped Lennox, but LL would've had to win 5 of the next 6 rounds to win the fight (without a KO/TKO), not very likely.
