Yeah, and Gilbert was on steroids too!

Duddy looked better against Howe than against Smichet. He also looked good against Eastman before that. He's been lifting weights for the first time here lately, and is eating right for the first time, which amazes me he wasn't doing both all along. He needs to continue working on defense and step up his power shots.

I think Duddy will win by decision, but we may see his ko power return as well.

Since when is using your face as a punchiing bag not a defense?

Duddy is a real warrior. The way he is going belt-shopping by dropping down in weight.

That is the stuff of legend.

Definitely a smart move for John to go down to the weight he would be most effective at. Even during the Howe fight, he kept his left rather low at times, and I'm sure Pavlik would have turned the lights out. He also came in light for the fight, so could easily take off a few more. He's either a big light middleweight or a small middleweight. Light middleweight is where he belongs.

So, Floyd Mayweather AND ZAB JUDAH should be fighting at 140....right?

This thread is about Duddy. He can easily make light middleweight and be strong there, so he's making a good decision to drop a few pounds. I don't think fighters should have to fight at a weight heavier than they are most effective.

Mayweather went looking for a smaller fighter to be one of his hand-picked opponents: little reach-challenged Ricky Hatton.

Hatton is most comfortable fighting at 140, but Floyd insisted he fight at 147, which is Mayweather's most comfortable fighting weight in recent years.
