Should boxing be more rounds than 12

Many fights go to the cards when both fighters look like they have more in them. With athlete fitness improving all the time I don't think 12 is enough.

I'm not so sure, 15 rounds will increase the risk of brain damage and mental illness thanks to the build up of all the shots, so i think it's way safer as 12. TBH if you can't win the fight by 12 rounds then i don't think you deserve to win, if you had 15 again it's like stealing it in the last 3 rounds because your opponent is too exhausted.

If you keep it at 12 the most skilled boxers will win most likely, if you made it 15 it's just who can take the most shots and last the longest.

Keep in mind that's all my opinion so don't get all angry if you don't like it.

No, 12 is plenty. I would even be for taking it down to 11 (less opportunity for a draw). It isn’t about fitness than it is about fighter safety. Dehydration combined with blows to the head will not lead to good things.

12 is cool. We all want great fights to go until one guy can't go anymore, but that's how guys get ruined or killed. 12 rds is just fine.

They will never go back after the ring death of Duk Koo Kim.

It ain't happening. Apparently they did all kinds of studies and the possibility for brain damage was greatest between rounds 12 and 15.

i prefer 15 rds, but in the fear for safety i can see 12. that being said i think all title, and tiele eliminator fights should be 15.

That is correct, they did find that the most damage occurred in those last few rounds.

Some recent fights would have been greater if they could have gone a few more rounds but many more fighters would be getting hurt. The 12 round limit is there for a good reason...
