TBH I don't think he would get much credit. Pac moving up so many weight classes will mean people will not assign Ricky a lot of credit if he was to beat him.

        Yup

He would get credit and it would cement his legacy.

        Hatton is a small welterweight.

And him beating pacquiao at 140 would be great for his resume he could retire off that win.

People need to stop discrediting wins...then you can say hagler win over tommy hearns was ****, or his win over duran cause he fought guys coming up in weight.

        a LEGEND is a LEGEND.

        thats how I see it.

its not like hatton is a super massive guy like cotto or margarito fighting pacquiao lol that would be a disgrace to boxing.

Paq deserves more credit if he gets by Hatton, if Hatton does manage to get by Paq, it's going to be due to the weight difference. Cause Hatton eat's so many short slick punches and every time he looks like he want's to tip over. But if he's able to take them from Manny and ends up just walkin Manny down, it's definantly gonna be due to size difference.

Of course not, people try to discredit Floyd beating Hatton by saying "Hatton was smaller". So what makes you think Hatton will fair much better.

lol Yeah, thats how he generally wins his fights. It just doesn't work against the slick boxers. He really struggled with Collazo and Floyd just picked him apart. I really don't see Hatton beating any of the top Jr Welterweights. Ortiz, Peterson, even Torres would give him a run for his money. lol He's like the David Diaz of the Junior Welterweights. A guy just waitin to lose his belt and P4P status.

But Hatton's style and chin are so weak for a jr welterweight, that this fight with this featherweight actually makes a fair match up when you look at it from the outside. But if Paq ends up gettin demolished, then we'll know it's the weight difference, cause Hatton will get clobbered by just about any of the talent in his division with the exception of like, Paulie, who's not really known to clobber guys.

But I think the fight will start off active obviously, then toward the middle rounds one of em is going to take over. If it's Hatton, its because he's too big for Manny. If it's Paq, it's cause Hatton is Hatton lol. Hatton fatigues and then get's touched up late.

Pacquiao's an exciting fighter but fighting a Floyd's leftover won't mean anything. He needs to stay at 135 and fight the other title holders.
