KEVIN IOLE says COTTO could become p4p #1 depending on performance against MARGARITO.

"I have no argument with Pacquiao as No. 1, but I’m not going to fully make up my mind until after I watch the Cotto-Margarito fight on July 26"

    thoughts???

As impressive as Pacquiao was, his opponent, Diaz, does not compare to Margarito.

Not to mention, Diaz's style was very much in favor of Pacquiao, whereas Margaritos style poses the greatest threat to Cotto.

    Nah I don't think so.

He would move up toward to number 1, but being number 1? I don't think so.

i dont agree with it. he needs at least 2 more good names in my opinion. if he were to beat the 2nd ranked welter which is Paul Williams, move up and beat the top dude at light middle, yes.

Cotto should be #2 p4p if he beats Margarito impressively....There's no way he can surpass Pacman.

I could possibly seeing him being number 1, but that would only be if he did to Margarito what Pac did to Diaz.

the thing is David Diaz was a wbc champion...and he only had 1 loss, he beat zab 2 time sin the ams to make the olympic team...and he has better fighters on his resume.

Margarito doesnt really have any names on his resume all he has is the moniker the avoided one.

Cotto will probably shut the myth down.

cotto has a high work rate.

but man Floyd jr is dodging cotto bad...pissing me off.
