I'm with you Ray.. James Toney is one of my favorites but he just isn't the same anymore. It really is a shame that he got involved with using steroids. He beat Ruiz quite easily and he was fat and out of shape. IIRC he even knocked Ruiz down once. Just hasn't been the same since...

I hate to see a good fighter suffer for staying in the game for to long!

I'm a big James Toney fan myself...but he really needs to call it career...His speech is kinda slurred...IMO he doesnt have it anymore (unless he can show me something differnent in his upcoming fight)

I know but I just dont want to see him take anymore punishment...Fighting Rahman or not... Toney just needs to call it a career...I know its not just me but have you noticed his speech??...Its only going to get worse...Rahman might be hot garbage but the guy can still punch....Toney isnt his old self and I hate to see him end like some fighters are (brain dead)

I think the speech has to do a lot with his cigar smoking and liquor indulging. James is shot but what else is he gonna do? Sometimes I sound slurry and I am 26 for the mere fact that I am too lazy to pronounce every sound.

i hope he can come back but it doesnt look good for him atm. he took a lot of hard punches from peter. im not sure if hes got it anymore after 80 fights.

I didnt think about like that man....I always thought you were 32 (looking at the age under your profile) I too sound like I'm slurred when I've one too many drinks! So I understand man...**** gets ya everytime!
