There have been media reports suggesting that Valero's promoter might be hesitant about putting his guy in with Pacquiao. If Valero's promoter says we'll fight Pacquiao, but later down the road, is Pacquiao still a coward?
You know, the professional fighter who like all of his fellow craftsmen puts his life on the line every time he fights because this is how he makes his money.Comment

That wasn't what I was saying. Personally I'd rather see Pacquiao-Campbell to unify the belts but you and other fans seem to feel that fighting an untested fighter whose fights are typically only seen on Youtube is a more credible fight than that one. What I was saying is this:
"So the guy who weighs 10 pounds less and has only been past the first five times is a tougher fight than Hatton, who is favored to win his junior welterweight unification fight this Fall?"
If Pacquiao fights the bigger fighter, he is a coward instead of opting to face the smaller, lesser known and untested guy?Comment

When are people going to stop believing the hype? Bob Arum hand picked David Diaz a long time ago to fight Pacquiao. He's also been hyping up Edwin Valero as this killer who annihilates everyone and yada yada.
Arum doesn't have a promotional stake in Valero, why would he build up this opponent for Pacquiao with whom he stands to have make no future income off of?
Because Valero is another handpicked opponent.Comment
