Cotto mine as well of came in with a baseball bat and just beat him to the ground, that was an old school beatdown.

well the car accident was also in '01 but don't know exactly where in his career. All i know is that he did have a few fights before it.

he still looked a bit amateurish on it but the strength sure was there

Cotto is a good boxer, and his first opponent was MUCH better.

Not to mention he took the fight on like a week's notice. Just no point in killing that poor guy.
