    Manny Pacquiao Vs Julio Diaz?

    from *********
With most the other top talent at 135 being tied up in the fall, Manny Pacquiao's first WBC title defense planned for later this year could land against former two-time champion Julio Diaz who hammered prevously unbeaten David Torres on ESPN last week. "I would take a fight with Manny Pacquaio in a heartbeat," Julio told *********. "Make no doubt about it that a fight between Pacquiao and I would be a fight....with me being from Southern California and a Mexican fighter, a fight between Pacquaio and I would be a big draw and a great fight for the fans." Monday, June 30 2008
Makes sense, Diaz, Katsidis, Campbell, Guzman, Marquez, Casamayor all have fights in September.

Beating Julio won't benefit Manny any more than beating David.

David Diaz was ranked higher by The Ring than Julio Diaz.

At least Valero brings a undefeated record and high ranking from 130 with him.

Im sure they're keeping it as an option. Then Manny can have "Diaz killer" added to his list of monikers

On a serious note, Do you think that julio is really a prime threat that the pac haters can actually rally behind?? Because I think he'd be dismissed as a win over a journeyman

well its a stay busy fight.

if Valero cannot get Cleared in Vegas or the contracts fall out.

then Diaz is the perfect option....hopefully its on Regular HBO and not PPV.

since everyone else is tied up including hatton.

I don't care to see him fight Julio Diaz, he's no better than David.

Ricky Hatton is shot and Pacquiao should be criticized for fighting him, yet Julio Diaz, who has 3 KO losses and hasn't been in top form since losing to Castillo, is an acceptable fight?

Do you see where I'm going with this?
