After a heated shouting match between WBO president Paco Valcarcel and promoter Don King, it was agreed that if former WBC heavyweight champ Hasin Rahman defeats Kali Meehan on November 13, he will have 30 days to sign a contract to fight WBO heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster. If the fight isn't made by December 14, an elimination will be ordered between the top two contenders.

Corrie Sanders, now promoted by Universum, has requested to be rated by the WBO. Sanders had previously given up the WBO title without defending it after stopping Wladimir Klitschko.

A request to rank former four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield was denied.
