On top of that i said nothing about Klitschko, and Haye wanting a Barrett fight is good as an admission from him that he doesent belong in a ring with wladimir anyway.

It's better he fights Barrett in October than fights no-one at all. I never expected him to fight the top guys straight away. I figured three fights at heavyweight before Klitschko, once against a minor name, once against an ex champ, once for a title and once for the prize.

the way haye has jive talked about fighting a top ten hvwt is a joke.

but a barrett fight is a good matchup for haye. he'll have a chance there.
hope he don't go the route of say like witter and other euros, a lot of talk and then settling on fighting only fringe hoaky belt holders.
feel he's gone up at the right time. can't see how hvwt division can get any weaker.

I can't see Haye failing to push for the biggest fights. He's a guy who unified his division in 22 fights, despite having a loss to disrupt his momentum. He has a history of going after the big names.

What I can't see with Haye is him waiting around and having a bunch of defenses though.

Haye said after beating Enzo that he was taking time off, if he takes himself off the market for 12 months why the hell is anyone gonna bother trying to make a fight after 6?

I believe he said he would come back in December (end of year?), now it appears that for an easy mark like Monte Barrett he can make an October date.

Instead of asking me why guys arent lining up to fight him why dont you list the names of fighters that have turned down reasonable offers to fight haye in his country on his terms.

3 days ago Barrett was washed up and a 3.5-1 underdog against the biggest fraud since Audley Harrison. Now he is a viable opponent for the Undisputed Cruiserweight champ... oh yeah of course he is, makes sense since Barrett is essentially a Cruier and Haye is naturally a bigger man.
