Is Pacquiao a 4 division champion or 5 division champion?

Why does everyone say he's a 4 division champ when he won the The Ring/Lineal Belt at Featherweight when he beat Marco Antonio Barrera?

    Flyweight - WBC/Ring/Lineal Champion
    Super Bantamweight - IBF Champion
    Featherweight - Ring/Lineal Champion
    Super Featherweight - WBC/Ring/Lineal Champion
    Lightweight - WBC Champion

Why do people count the ABC belts more than the The Ring/Lineal title?
    20
    4. I only count the WBC , WBA , IBF and WBO belts.
    20.00%
    4
    5. I consider The Ring/Lineal title more important anyway.
    80.00%
    16

    The poll is expired.

technically he is only 4 division champion.

But, Barrera was the clear cut best of the division when Pacquiao spanked him, so a lot of experts recognize that Pacquiao has won 5 divisions, which he definetly deserves.

6 division champ if he beats Hatton, which would be rediculously impressive. i think Oscar De La Hoya did 6 divisions.

yes he did. if you count the wbo.

        he started at 130.

but how could you count the wbo 130 and wbo 160 title for oscar and not choose to count The Ring Belt at 126 for manny?

the wbo was a minor org supported by european promoters and wasn't considered a major 'til recently and that was only due to the success of euros like hamed , calzaghe and the klitschkos.

I'll tell you what he is, a weak champion...but a champion nonetheless.
