Last night, Soto was disqualified for hitting his opponent while he was down. Do you guys remember when Pacman also hit JM Marquez while he was down in the first round in their first fight? Why didn't Cortez DQ him? I really hope that Cortez no longer referees a fight (especially if a Mexican fighter is involved).

The reason may be that Lorenzo acted as if he couldn't continue fighting because of the blow, he milked it all the way to a DQ victory.Comment

exactly what i said in my post in a different thread, pacquiao should of been disqualified, he also didnt know it was illegal to hit while his opponent was down... Cortez is an idiot, he should of atleast deducted him a point and marquez would of still schooled him and got the deserved decision!Comment

Yeah but he did the right thing last night. All the blood on Lorenzo's face helped the decision as the fact he stayed down as if he couldn't fight no more.
Imagine Cortez had allowed the fight to go on and Lorenzo died on the ring? What would that pig in Setenta TV who, by the way is a shame to the sport and should be killed for the way he refers to fighters and referees, say about Cortez then? I wasn't there and i thought Lorenzo could die when i saw him on the floor poring blood and still complaining about his head. I thought OMG, brain damage, or Great Actor. Whatever the case, as Cortez said, SAFETY FIRST.Comment

Do you feel that Lorenzo should of gotten the victory? Why didn't Cortez DQ Pacman in the first fight with Marquez. In fact, Manny's left to Marquez's chin after he was down was harder than Soto's punch last night. Cortez needs to take a seat. I think if they can, alot of fighters will request that he's not in the ring with them.
And I still can't believe Soto was about to officially stop Guzman, then Cortez jumps between em so Soto can't hit him anymore, then they fight for another 40 seconds, then he disqualifys Soto.
I mean what the **** was that about? Cortez has lost his ****in mind lol, time for him to take a seat.Comment
