So be it that he retired, it is his choice i miss him but boxing and life moves on nothing to talk about so why make this thread?
What I'm saying is that Mayweather was a great champion and all, but in no way does boxing stop with his retirement. Boxing will go on and will remain alive and jumping with or without a rematch with De La Hoya. Mayweather never was and never will be bigger than boxing.

Being on 106 and Park does not indicate otherwise.

Well that I agree with, that goes for any single person in any sport though, like i said life moves on and so does boxing because there are great stars still and there will be more in the future.

How are you measuring this exactly? What exactly did you want people to do? Have a procession with a hearse or something? It was covered on Sky News over here in the UK, in most of the national newspapers in the sports section, you have subtle haters posing as journalists in the media still talking about him and getting their jibes in, poring over his legacy and p4p status and declaring that he'll be back as if to comfort themselves. Some want him back because they want him to lose, some because they feel the sport is poorer without him.

We know he's not popular, so if that's the purpose of your thread, it's a redundant point. We know.

His fans still continue to focus on his accomplishments and defend him where they see fit against the 'haters' who still drone on about him and make threads. Like you.

So, what else should be done?

I'm over Floyd's retirement. The last couple years of his career was just one big publicity stunt. He fails to see that boxing is his only talent... that & talking ****.

I think there are plenty of great fighters who ARE willing to fight worthy challengers out there. Let Floyd wrestle, dance or whatever the **** it is he does now and the rest of the boxing world will keep moving like he never left.

The sport of boxing is better off without "Chicken" Floyd.

If he isn't missed, why are there more threads about him than anyone?

What's this anointing Pacquiao #1 trash? Somebody has to be moved up. Pacquiao was #2 so now he's #1. Mayweather was #2 until Hopkins lost. Just like Hopkins was #2 until Roy lost. Nobody anointed anything. You just move up when somebody goes away.

Floyd is still the most talked about fighter on this forum and in the boxing world.
Even when Manny has a dominating preformance, the board is riddled with Floyd threads, about p4p, Mayweather vs Pac, Who will go down as the superior fighter, etc etc etc.
