Tua will TKO Arreola early to mid rounds. Unless you are Ike Ibeabuchi with all of that skill workrate, effective volme punching and chin, then you will not be successful at trading with Tua. Even though he ia past his prime, he is still very dangerous and power is the last thing to go.

Unfortunate for Tua, age and diet have eroded anything approaching speed and reflex that he might have had from his younger days.

Even though he is a come foward ****er that has no lateral movement or true boxing ability? He is a very exciting heavyweight, but Tua is battle tested and has fought and beaten heavier hitters than Arreola has. Arreola is going up against something that is out of his league.

Tua recently pulled out of his July 12 fight in Odessa, probably to prepare for this one. The fight will likely take place in September and be televised on HBO.
Cool. I'll watch it. Hopefully Andre Ward is on the undercard in another step up fight.

            Maybe or maybe not.

We really never know until these up and comers face a good opponent. If Arreola defeats Tua, we'll know he's the real deal.

Allan Green will do for that fight.

But I agree, they have found some of the worst fighters in the history of the sport to keep Tua active over recent years. Cerrone Fox is my pick as the worst fighter in the history of the sport. It's a disservice to Tua that the fight went longer than a minute.
i think the goal was to just keep him busy so he can keep his weight down. still didn't work. eventually unless you're a big moneymaker you run out of tomato cans.

i agree with scott9945. arreola would look good for the most part. tua is a shell of his former self and even that version was outboxed. but i have hope that tua can just land one big shot. as they say all the planning goes to the ****ter once you get hit in the mouth and i'm hoping tua has enough to beat arreola toe to toe.

Arreola is Arreola. He will be right there trading with Tua so the speed and reflex problem won't be a factor. They will exchange power shots and I don't think Arreola is ready to handle that kind of firepower.

The desire just doesn't seem to be there anymore. Tua can still punch if you square up right in front of him and don't use the jab. That said, look at how Tua looked in his last fight.

I like Tua a lot but I don't think he wants it anymore. He's made a hell of a lot of money without having to accomplish anything.
