JT would get beaten by Kessler and pretty badly. Kessler is a carbon copy of Pavlik only with less power and better footwork. Kessler was not protected. He fought Sicia, Mundine, Andrade, Beyer and Calzaghe pretty much consecutively with only mandatory Lucas to get through. He went for a unification match in 4 fights.

Trust me I rooted for Lacy and Kessler in both fights I though Calzaghe was gettin KTFO against Lacy and then beaten again by Kessler, it's the manner in which he's proven me wrong which makes me a fan.

I forgot about the fight with Librado Andrade but I have never heard about any of those other guys. I just don't see him beat Taylor.

Roy jones jr is calzaghes worst nightmare! Does he not know that roy knows that calzaghe has no power wich is going to going to bring out the roy jones jr of old. Roy will be aggressive and throw some nice powers shots wth no fear of being caught!!! Calzaghe is in for a beatdown!!!

If they were ever to meet, Joe Calzaghe would lay waste to Kelly Pavlik in the kind of one sided beatdown that which might very well KO American boxing as a whole.

Seriously, Oscar de La Hoya, overcome with shame for his countrymen, would renounce his citizenship and move Golden Boy Promotions and Ring Magazine to the UK, installing Calzaghe as Ring Champ in every weight class. Meanwhile Setanta sports would effect a hostile takeover of HBO and Showtime and all major fights would take place at Wembley stadium.

US boxers would no longer be allowed to compete in world title bouts because they would be regarded as "bums", but Kelly Pavlik, Jermain Taylor and Roy Jones would be allowed to serve the brits as ring card girls and would prance around the ring in bikinis between the rounds of a never ending series of matchups between Calzaghe, Froch, Kessler and Abraham.

You don't want Pavlik to fight Calzaghe.

Oh come on, I was just playing. its not like I haven't written enough lengthy essays about this **** before:

1. Kessler is not protected, you only think that because he is European, he beat the rest of the SMW division bar Joe to hold two belts. Right now he is the best SMW in the world after Joe.

2. Calzaghe beat Hopkins, at the time the Ring LHW champ. A Flash KD doesn't mean a thing about how good a fighter is. If you think it does you don't know boxing. Juam manuel Marquez was KD 3 times the first round the first time he fought Pacqiao, he came back to winb most rounds and get a draw.

3. Jermain Taylor is not better than anyone on Calzaghe's resume. He is worse than Hopkins, Kessler, Reid, Eubank and probably Byron Mitchell too.

4. Calzaghe has reigned at SMW for 21 defences and 11 years and holds ring belts at 2 weight classes. Pavlik is a new MW champ of limited ability with 2 (or 1?) defences. He is not in Calzaghe's class in terms of record or skills.

Kessler will beat Pavlik should they ever meet. He is much better than Pavlik. Lacy is much worse than Pavlik, but all the same things were said about him before he faced Joe that are being said about Pavlik now.
