Is Edwin Valero The Next Target For Manny Pacquiao?

On Saturday night, Manny Pacquiao made his lightweight debut, busting up David Diaz on route to a ninth-round knockout to capture the WBC lightweight title at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Following the win, promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank was flooded with questions as to the next opponent for Pacquiao. The one name that Arum brought up over and over was Edwin Valero (24-0, 24KOs), the unbeaten, power-punching super featherweight champion. [details]

Plenty of options for Pac now. If he went back down to 130 this is the fight he should do, but that seems unlikely. I think Valero would have to move up.

Didn't that guy get a skull fracture in an accident, is it even safe for him to get blows in the head?

Valero wont last 5 rounds against Pacman...
Valero is busy fighting **** actors in Japan... he's doin' them, brokeback mountain variety...
          Hahaha...
Yeah, he's another walking punching bag for Pacman... he should be proud when the fight happens at least the future hall of famer shares the ring with him... I dont know if Valero deserves a $800,000 purse... well, that's the promoters problem...

            Big Fight

manny was before and is now the man to beat...hes mustard!
but,BIG BUT,valero is quick and i feel that when he lands one of them freak of nature power shots then, manny will fall. it will be a shame as valero does not possess SUPREME skill Tto match manny BUT, he has a good punch resistance which could be the key as long as he lands big shots.
I PREDICT VALERO BY KO BY THE NINTH ROUND.
IF, THE FIGHT GOES ALL THE WAY THEN, MANNY BY U.D.
its the most dangerous fight for manny out there at the moment.

manny by u.d. but valero has the power to knock him out if he connects.
he has speed and heart too which means it will only be a matter of time as long as his punch resistance holds up to mannys speed and skill.
it would be a shame for manny to lose to who many people have never heard of but, valero is no push over.
this IS the most dangerous opponent/fight for pacman so far...........
