If Arum is speaking about Valero why not Guzman especially if he beats Campbell and holds 3 of the 4 major lightweight titles. Pacquiao has more than enough on his plate though and Joan is last in line. Pac plans to fight November and the only options that are available for around that time are Valero and De La Hoya

After that fight if Hatton wins I can not see Hatton-Pacquiao not poppin off. Guzman would have to beat Campbell and the winner of Casamayor-Marquez or Diaz-Katsidis to be in a great position to face Pac. If he can beat the winner of one of those 2 he will beat Pac late next year or early 2010 dont expect Arum to be in a hurry to put him in with unless Marquez and Hatton lose in their next fights.

If he gets past Campbell.. then I will be the first to say that Guzman should be in the top 3 choice to fight Pac.

The other 2 would be Hatton and JMM.

And you can quote me on that.

      Otherwise Guzman is a nobody.

GUzman should beat some quality oppositions first before he gets a crack with Pacman. Climb the ladder against some top rated boxers maybe.

dude jmm is not overrated for the longest he was underrated not even morales and barrera in there prime wanted to match up with him, a clear example of why is the first manny pacquiao and jmm fight, yeah jmm went down 3 times in the first ,but jmm clearly schooled him after that jmm had him figured out. yup i recogized that pacquiao has gotten better but open ur eyes he won a close rematch with jmm

Guzman could present a challenge for Pac because of his hand speed and foot quickness. I don't think he would have the power to hurt Pac though. I feel Pac would win a close UD or SD over Guzman, basically because he could land lean effective punches and just be more active than Guzman.

If he beat Casamayor or Campbell they were old and well past their prime.

If he beat Guzman or Katsidis they were over rated/inexperienced.
