People need to consider that Ali was ROBBED of 3 of his Prime years (1967, 68, & 69 )...Had he fought during those years as well, I'd seriously doubt there would be a dispute as to who the greatest of all time truly is!

That is a good question. I think Ali was in his prime after the layoff. The younger Ali(that got dropped by Henry Cooper) was very quick but his chin wasnt that great. I dont think he wouldve been able to absorb Frazier or Foreman's fierous shots.

What are you talking about? How can his chin be better after layoff? He was fully grown a long time before he fought Cooper.

There are two different answers for this question:

1st His physical prime was during his first title reign
2nd His prime as an intelligent boxer was after he lost to Ken Norton

If he wouldn't have gone to jail he'd have beaten Joe Frazier in arguably his best fight. But that's just my imagination. Anyway, if you combine the pyhsical abilities of Cassius Clay and the experience and ring intelligence of Muhammed Ali you get a picture perfect HW. Well, it still was enough to be considered as the best HW ever by many.
