The lineal Champion was, and still is Joel Casamayor. He's the man who beat the man (Diego Corrales), and though he should've lost the Santa Cruz fight, he got the W, and that means he's still the man. The performance against Katsidis cemented it.

Casamayor is the lineal champ. You can argue that you think Campbell is better but not that he is the lineal champ.

Again Viva is right.

Santa Cruz SHOULD have been given the W against Casa, making him the lineal champion.

This means Diaz would have been lineal champ after beating Santa Cruz.

After knocking out Diaz, who should have been the lineal champ, Pacman would have indeed been lineal champ if all decisions had gone the right way.

The sad fact is, they didn't, and Pac will have to settle for an alphabet belt.
