Omg, that was sick!!! It was nasty, David Diaz is never going to be the same fighter ever again I bet you he has serious brain damage now.

Did you hear the part where he was talking about it felt like freddie roach and a guy with a knife felt like he was bashing his skull in? This fight should have been stopped sooner it was one-sided from the beginning. It won't surprise me if he has to retire from boxing from the beating he took. His corner is so ******ed and should have thrown in the towel.

**** No....This was a PPV and people payed money to see a knockout, not a cut stoppage....I was worried they were gonna stop it...I was happy the ref and doctor let the fight go on and we got to see a great KO.

The interview made me like Diaz, he is a down to earth warrior.

That being said the fight should have been stopped earlier but if it was he would obviously have disputed it thinking he could have gone on to the last round so him getting KOd removed all doubt.

No, Diaz wanted to fight and was in the ring for a reason, he wanted to fight until the final bell.
He was never in true trouble, and the cut was ok'd by the doctor.
There are far too many early stoppages in the sport today, fighters are well aware of the dangers of the sport and the potential risks involved.

I think so. You never know if a KO would come or not against a guy like Diaz who has an amazing heart and chin. Going all 12 rds would not have helped him in his career after this bout. This guy was massacred and I haven't seen such a brutal beat down like this in awhile. Manny was landing everything including the kitchen sink on Diaz. His face was a total mess, and he had nothing on Manny. Manny was landing 5-6 punch combos at will and doing whatever he wanted. Diaz was brutalized bad. The way he went face forward on the KO like someone shot him in the back put an exclamation on what the entire fight was about.
