What is the point of this thread? Kessler competed in a different weight division than Hopkins. Anyone with an eye for boxing that has seen Kessler fight knows he is a genuine talent. So why is he being compared to a prime Bernard Hopkins in a different division?

Kessler doesn't have the best resume' but he was beating top rated guys at 168 like Markus Beyer, and usually he was knocking guys out. He could have fought worse guys than he did.

The Calzaghe fans think that all the good opponents Hopkins beat such as Hopkins, Oscar and Tito are no good as Kessler. Kessler of course would beat them due to size, but he is NOT better boxers that them. The best person Kessler has beaten was a prime Mundine.

Thobela is a true pound for pound great who won world titles at lightweight and super middleweight unlike Hopkins who has only beat up on fat welterweights.
