Roberto Duran is one loco loco mother****er and both are trash talkers.

So I dont think he is the type of person who would back off e****ally if a fighters is as good as Aaron.

I say he is good but not super man like people make out of him.

He took punchs from Alexis Argulleo props for that but I look at what it made him.

Imagine if a WW puncher will do to him at least hurt him and what if Hagler fought time he would make another Hearns fight

He's not superman but he was a very good fighter, good combinations, power, speed, chin, heart, his defense wasn't great but was underrated.

He would have been too small against Hagler, Pryor wasn't the biggest 140 pounder, Hagler while not being the biggest middleweight was a much bigger man naturally.

He is a good fighter but saying Duran ducked him that makes him overrated. Saying all the glamors superstar boxer of the 70s and 80s ducked that makes him overrated.

like example Margarito is a good fighter but saying he is the most feared guy in boxing makes him overrated.

That's why I said they weren't enthusiastic about a potential matchup with him, I'm not saying they outright ducked him because who knows what went on behind the scenes.

he could have fought an eliminator?

anyway the only fight people most remeber about him is the Alexis Argulleo fight

I agree, most people only remember him for the Arguello fight which is a shame because he was a very good fighter.

Pryor was a beast in his day. He didn't get all the shine he coulda got cuz he didn't get a lot of big fights.

Pryor was 5'6 and could have made lightweight. He would have moved to 147 if there was a big fight for him. The thread starter is just ignoring boxing history if he thinks it was Pryor's fault that there were no fights against Duran or Leonard.

that's why he was the only one with the bigger cojones to take the fight with pryor, when nobody else in the lower division had any.

pryor's style of fighting scared the **** out of alot of people.

after winning the title from antonio cervantes (ko'ed in 2 rounds) he was facing nothing but mandatories, all the big names in boxing didn't even bother to call him for a match.

once you knocked aaron pryor down you're done, he gets wild and can easily knock you out with raging combinations.
