I was just shocked to see Jack at the Pryor-Arguello fight, that was 25years ago. Then kinda noticed that **** I just saw him in the Vaz-Marq trilogoy on Showtime fights II-III.

Boxing was Huge back then!

if you notice the celebs back then actually liked the fights you also know Tony danza was in the back with gene hackman...wayne newton was there as well and donald sutherland.

Boxing fell of big time it used to be one of the biggest sports.

I remember seeing duran and leonard on a 7 up commercial and marvin hagler on a deodarant commercial.

Jack Nicholson is a huge sports fan in genre, doesn't he go to like every single lakers game? And he definitely doesn't need the publicity, when he is a legendary actor such as himself.

What I meant by lower tier fights is that they didn't have the mega fight buildup. Celebs looking for exposure only go to the mega fights.

For example you'll see a lot of celebs at DLH-PBF. But Vaz-Marq there are a lot fewer celebrities. It wasn't even PPV.

yeah the fighters had easier gettign title fights and fans are not that mean.

But todays world is very important to have the O to sell fight

Jack nicholson is also a huge boxing fan but not as much as before,He used to attend boxing matches all the time in the 1980s but now with his age he mainly watches Lakers.

He is at EVERY FREAKIN LAKERS GAME!!! its amazing.

I was at my dads house a couple weeks back and we were watching ESPN classic. They had an old lakers game on, took place about 20 years ago.

And of coasre, Jack was in the crowd. Same seat and everything i believe. lol

Did u see Mayweather-DLH??? EVERY big name in show bussiness, from Will Ferrell to Jacky Boy, was there ringside.

I also gotta believe that Jack is also watching fights at home on his probably huge freakin TV.

Like someone stated earlier, I also think Jack is just an all around sports fan. **** if I was loaded I would have Giants/Yankee season tickets and travel every other weekend to see fights.

didn't he beat up a helpless guy in a sparing session right after promising he was gonna take it easy and the guy was like 40 pounds lighter than him and every time the guy got knocked down and got up, he would jump on him again with flurries of shots to hurt the guy. I remember someone in this forum witnessing that. thats pretty cowardly.
