Ah yes, the Crimean war. You lost your navy, you lost Sevastopol, you lost any semblance of a military presence in the Black Sea and the baltic was a stalemate. Russia failed to secure a foothold in the Ottoman empire and Britain was successful in preventing it.
The charge of the light brigade was an event synonymous with disaster but it wasn't as bad as is made out, And the Russians failed in their aim of breaking through British lines and by default lost the battle of Balaclava.
It must have hurt in 1812 getting your arses kicked by the French though.
