who did wlad beat for those titles?

the only guy wlad beat that tua probably couldn't beat is byrd. byrd is a bad matchup for him. styles make fights and that slick southpaw is a bad style for tua. prime tua probably would've done better against byrd though.
I agree that Tua is too good not to have won a title by now, but wasn't Tua in his prime when he was beaten by Byrd? Ibeabuchi was a beast and the loss to Lennox is certainly excusable, but I'm also not sure you could call Ruiz in his prime 5 years before he won a title. The rest of his resume is commendable and his knockouts are impressive, his manager and promoter need to be shot.

actually, Tua was probebly in his prime when he was a little younger, mostly cause he weighed less. he stopped throwing so many punches as he gained weight.
but I havent really seen Tua's whole career.

Maybe, but he did lose 12 lbs between the LL fight and the Byrd fight. Surprisingly enough, he was lighter for his last fight than he has been since the Byrd fight, 7 years ago. If he'd just step up the competition, maybe beat a couple of young prospects, something.

agewise he wasn't too old but this was already after he loss some of his skills. he was 233 against byrd. the best shape he had been in a while but still not the ideal 220 he was against ike , izon , oleg , ruiz, etc. plus byrd was just a bad matchup for him. too slick. too fast. too southpaw. he lost his prime before he fought lewis and had balloon up to 255-260 lbs. the weightgain and fighting tomato cans while he stepped aside for lewis really deteriorated his skills.

ruiz might not have been quite his technical prime yet but he was considered one of the best young heavies out there. tua beat him about 3 1/2 years before he faced holy but ruiz was no inexperienced guy when tua beat him. ruiz had 25-30 fights already at that time.

Are you serious? I have always been a Tua fan and even started a thread last year about Tua beating Tyson. You're a clown, but I do appreciate the racist red K you gave me.

You're a little Tyson fanboy with virtually no knowledge of boxing whatsoever, besides what you look up on boxrec.

Proof of where I called Tua a bum or shut your mouth.

I don't despise Tyson at all, when he was young I was a huge fan of his. He is just completely overrated (as is his competition) by ignorant little fanboys like yourself.
