Dude, you don't know what you're talking about. Floyd Mayweather is very famous and will remain famous for a long time.

Beyond that, he had a great career and fought bigger men. He didn't dry himself out to get to insanely low weights like 122 and then come into the ring at 140 like Pacquiao did many times. When Floyd was fight at 140 he came into the ring weighing 144. When he fought at 147 he came into the ring weighing 150. When he fought at 154 he came into the ring weighing 150.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

PBF is the better boxer in terms of skill, but he just don't excite fans like Pac does. And Pac takes on all comers too. He don't talk **** about fighters then rattle off 101 reasons why he ain't gonna fight them.

Most of that hysterical kind of excitement comes from Pac's own fan-sheep. Similar to Hatton, except that Pac is much more deserving.
But the buzz in his fights is generated because at least half of every crowd he fights for is made up of Pacmaniacs screaming for his opponent's blood.

Floyd's defining super-feather and lightweight fights were the opposite, they were about the dead silence of seeing the fans favorite obliterated by the irresistible skills of the bad guy.

Floyd Jr. made a career out of shutting mouths and destroying dreams while running his own and realizing his own.

Floyd Jr.'s performances at the weight classes in which Pac won his last 2 fights were scintillating in boxing terms.

You have that backwards, my son. It is Floyd with the mainstream recognition. How many casual or non-fans saw the fight last night?

Drop Manny off in any non-Flip neighborhood, and he enjoys a quiet stroll home.

I love boxing, not just certain boxers, so I can appreciate a good display of boxing. But obviously if given the choice, I'd rather see a fast paced action fight. No one can question PBF's talent and accomplishments, especially at 130 and 135. Point I was makin is that fans remember action more than clinical boxing, which in a legacy contest between 2 very accomplished fighters, can give Pac an edge cuz he gives fans more bang for their buck.

No he lets Bob Arum do that. Like that classic monologue about why Guzman didn't deserve a shot at Pacquiao after he beat Humberto Soto know good and damn well that if Soto had won that fight or not been DQ'd last night that Pacquiao-Soto would signed and sealed by now.

More people are familiar with Pacquiao than Mayweather.

Every Filipino grandmother knows who Manny Pacquiao is. Only boxing fans know who Mayweather is.

Mayweather is a boring fighter, and has not achieved as much as Pacquiao. Pacman was WBC flyweight champion at the age of 18. His win over the legendary Barrera at his peak is better that any of Mayweather's wins.

Pacquiao will be remembered by everyone as a great fighter, Floyd will be remembered only by hard core boxing fans.
