What was Whitaker's first real loss?

Which fight would you say was the one that gave him his first legitimate loss?

Trinidad, and even then P was past her prime with a 10 yr age disadvantage. Pernell in my book only has 1 loss and went undefeated when it mattered. Oscar and Tito were kids when Pernell was winning Panam and Olympic titles. Totally different era's of boxing, Pernell being the 1st gen after the SRL,Duran, Hearns, Haglers era. Pernell and Mayweather, from a technical standpoint, are the best boxers I've seen in my 30 yrs on this earth. Funny how these two were probably the most disliked boxers in the modern era, the public sentiment both SP and PBF recieve truly mirrors one another. They hated Pernell, they hate Floyd. The audience actually cheered when Pernell was stopped during what would turn out to be his last fight due to a shoulder injury, dislocated. The cheered the fact that an aging future HOFer, Chavez level fighter got stopped because of a dislocated shoulder while trying to make a final run back at the title.

he never would have lost if he hadn't has his nose in more powder than the olympic ski team. even the prime drag queen couldn't land a flush punch on him in 12 rounds, and that was against a coked up, past prime whitaker

Wilfredo Rivera beat him twice! Jose Luis Ramierez beat him the 1st time **** the bull**** you run and stay away you get no points. And he didnt' want to fight Ike Quartey a fight that was offered to him a few times as was the Trinidad fight before they actually fought.

His first real loss was Trinidad.

He edged both Rivera fights for me.

I agree, I had him winning the second more comfortably than the first.
